Job Title:  HR Assistant / Representative

Pay Range:  $22/hour Schedule:  Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM (flexibility to stay later as needed) Duration:  Temp to Hire Position Overview:

We are seeking a Human Resources Assistant/Representative to support daily HR functions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a temporary position with the potential to transition into a full-time role based on performance and business needs.  Ideal candidates will have prior HR experience, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to learn new systems and processes, including the Paychex Flex HRIS platform (training provided). This role will provide hands-on support across multiple HR areas including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and general administrative support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with recruitment efforts: review resumes, schedule interviews, coordinate onboarding, and issue offer letters
  • Learn and use Paychex Flex HRIS for employee records and HR tasks (training provided)
  • Act as first point of contact for employee questions and concerns
  • Post job openings and coordinate with temporary staffing agencies
  • Print ID badges for new hires and temps (training provided)
  • Support employee engagement efforts and internal events
  • Coordinate employee meals and special functions, including visits from company officials
  • Perform general administrative HR duties such as scanning, uploading, filing, and maintaining employee records
  • Provide day-to-day support to the HR Manager and team
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality  
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in Human Resources required
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable interacting with employees at all levels
  • Ability to multitask and handle shifting priorities
  • Willingness to learn new systems (Paychex experience a plus, but not required)
  • Flexible and team-oriented mindset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
