Job Title: 2nd Shift Machine Operator – Urgently Hiring!

Pay: $18.75/hour

Hours: 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday

Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a 2nd Shift Machine Operator for a full-time position with our client, a leading precision manufacturing company. The Machine Operator will be responsible for interpreting specifications, operating machinery, inspecting parts, and contributing to a safety-focused and team-driven environment. Candidates must have strong English-speaking skills for safety purposes and flexibility to work in other departments as needed. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in precision machining and a desire to grow within a reputable organization.

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for:

• Interpreting written specifications and shop blueprints
• Performing standard work according to quality plans
• Repetitive heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) throughout your shift
• Inspecting parts using pin/thread gages, gauges, calipers, etc.
• Setting up and securing stock or work-pieces using chucks, vises, or fixtures
• Adding coolant and lubricants as needed
• Maintaining a clean, organized work area
• Participating in improvement activities and standard work revisions
• Generating weekly improvement ideas and working as part of a team
• Following all safety procedures and policies on the production floor

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous manufacturing experience (especially in precision machining)
• Experience reading blueprints and mechanical operating sheets (MOS)
• Ability to use standard measuring tools and instruments
• Strong communication skills and attention to safety
• Willingness to work with minimal supervision and adapt across departments
• Excellent attendance and performance history
• Steel toe shoes (required for orientation and work)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

• No pre-employment screenings (background/drug check only once hired permanently)
• Steel toe footwear required on Day 1
• PPE provided: hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields, gloves (as needed)
• Attendance and safety are critical priorities
• Candidates must pass Safety Training Testing during orientation to proceed
