Job Title: Maintenance Technician Urgently Hiring! Pay: $28/hour Hours: 1st Shift, Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Start Date: ASAP We are seeking an Experienced Maintenance Technician for a full-time position for our client, a leading manufacturing facility located in Lewiston, Maine. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for completing maintenance assignments to build, repair, and maintain all equipment in good operating condition. The Maintenance Technician will actively work to minimize downtime, maintain production capability, and contribute to the plant’s overall goals. This is a 1st shift, full-time position located in Lewiston, Maine. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Completing maintenance projects with minimal guidance, proactively reducing equipment downtime.
• Troubleshooting mechanical devices in operation and dismantling to remove defective parts.
• Adjusting, repairing, or replacing defective parts to ensure optimal performance.
• Setting up and operating shop machinery such as lathes, drill presses, grinders, and more.
• Installing or repairing hydraulic and pneumatic equipment as necessary.
• Maintaining a preventive maintenance mindset to improve equipment reliability and uptime.
• Operating forklifts and hydraulic platforms as needed.
• Researching necessary parts, supplies, and tools to complete work orders.
• Assisting with inventory management and maintaining accurate records.
• Ensuring compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Maintaining housekeeping within the department.
• Supporting additional duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completed Technical School Degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with operating machinery and using hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail and proactive maintenance mentality.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs frequently and move heavier items with assistance.
• Comfort with working in noisy, wet, and humid conditions with exposure to mechanical hazards.
• Willingness to follow safety guidelines and use protective equipment as required.
