Job Title: 2nd Shift General Laborer

Pay: $23/hour Hours: Monday–Friday, 3:20 PM–11:50 PM (OT until 1:50 AM as needed) Start Date: ASAP Looking for a rewarding hands-on role with long-term growth potential? As a 2nd Shift General Laborer, you'll be a vital part of supporting the setup and operation of large corrugated machinery to produce high-quality boxes. You'll work closely with machine operators and production staff to ensure smooth operations and consistent output. What You’ll Do As a 2nd Shift General Laborer, you will be responsible for:

• Following and enforcing all safety guidelines while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Reviewing dimensions and board combinations prior to machine setup.
• Feeding corrugated product into machinery at a steady, accurate pace.
• Collecting and submitting load tags to confirm quantities received.
• Sorting and placing rejected work in designated areas (e.g., short sheets, cracked scoring, rough edges, damaged board).
• Inspecting board quality and coordinating with the machine operator before each run.
• Preparing ink fountains and assisting with job line-up tasks.
• Mounting cutting dies/print plates, setting pull collars, and helping set up the feed section.
• Reporting maintenance issues to the machine operator.
• Cleaning and organizing the work area during downtime.
• Assuming responsibility for machine operation in the operator’s absence.
• Performing additional setup or operational duties as directed.
• Completing any other assigned tasks to support production goals.

What You’ll Bring The ideal candidate will have:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6–12 months of related experience preferred; experience in the corrugated or paper industry is helpful.
• Strong English-speaking skills are mandatory for safety and quality reasons—this requirement cannot be waived.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and read a tape measure to 1/16".
• Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram instructions and troubleshoot production or mechanical issues.
• Ability to record time and production data.
• Regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally 50–100 lbs.
• Strong vision abilities (color, depth, peripheral, close/distance).

• Hearing protection required near machinery (provided by employer).
• No jewelry allowed.
• Shorts/tank tops allowed during summer.

Location & Schedule: This position is on-site in Biddeford, ME, working Monday–Friday, 3:20 PM–11:50 PM, with overtime available until 1:50 AM.
