Job Title: Forklift Operator

Pay: $20 - $22/hr depending on experience ($3.00 shift differential) Hours: 3:20pm - 12:00am (2nd shift) Start Date: ASAP Looking for a rewarding career with growth opportunities? As a Forklift Operator, you’ll be the backbone of our shipping and production process, ensuring the safe and efficient handling of materials. You’ll work closely with supervisors and your team to keep everything moving seamlessly and make a real impact on our operations. What You’ll Do As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for:

• Safely operating forklifts in shipping/receiving areas to unload, load, and transport corrugated sheets and finished products.
• Performing routine maintenance on forklifts and reporting repairs promptly.
• Unloading corrugated sheets and packaging supplies from trailers, placing them appropriately on the production floor or at production machines.
• Loading finished boxes onto trailers for shipment to customers.
• Utilizing barcode scanners and data entry to track inventory accurately.
• Coordinating with the shipping and production teams to ensure smooth workflow.
• Keeping work areas clean and organized, including trailer sweeps and organizing warehouse aisles.
• Identifying and resolving issues efficiently, or escalating as needed.
• Conducting quality checks during unloading and shipments to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Maintaining accurate records of shipments, receipts, and inventory via computer systems and paperwork.
• Communicating effectively with supervisors and team members about process improvements, safety, and productivity.
• Adhering to safety guidelines and maintaining good attendance and punctuality.
• Overtime work is often required.
• Working independently or as part of a team to meet daily targets.
• Reading and understanding shipping and receiving documents like Bills of Lading, production orders, and HRMS reports.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• High school diploma or GED, or 1-2 years forklift experience.
• Ability to operate forklift equipment safely and efficiently.
• Basic computer skills including data entry and barcode scanning systems.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to handle standard work situations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to read measurements accurately.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or with a team.
• Willingness to work Overtime as needed.
