Job Title: Temp, Accounts Payable – Urgently Hiring! Pay: $22–$24/hour (based on experience) Hours: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–4 PM or 9 AM–5 PM (flexible; open to a 4-day workweek) Start Date: July 14 or earlier We are seeking a Temp, Accounts Payable professional for a temporary, full-time position with our client, a well-established hospitality group located in Kennebunk, ME. The Accounts Payable team member will support finance operations by managing invoice processing, vendor communication, and statement reconciliation during a medical leave coverage period. Success in this role looks like timely and accurate invoice recording, efficient vendor relations, and strong organizational performance in month-end tasks. This is a hybrid position (2–3 days remote per week after initial 2-week onsite training), located in a bright and welcoming downtown office in Kennebunk, ME. As a Temp, Accounts Payable, you will be responsible for:
  • Recording invoices accurately and promptly
  • Verifying W9 forms from all new vendors
  • Reviewing and reconciling all accounts payable statements by property
  • Reaching out to vendors for credits or additional documentation as needed
  • Responding to vendor payment inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Assisting with weekly or bi-weekly check runs, including invoice review and approval
  • Supporting the processing of online payments
  • Assisting with cutting and managing up to 3,000 checks monthly
Month-End Responsibilities include:
  • Ensuring all monthly accounts payable are recorded before the noon cutoff on the 2nd business day
  • Reconciling Home Depot card activity
  • Collecting and recording petty cash invoices and accrued expenses
  • Reconciling property statements
  • Managing rent and condo fee collections
  • Overseeing monthly utility project documentation
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • At least 1 year of experience in an Accounts Payable role (required)
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • An Associate Degree in Accounting (preferred)
  • Experience using Accumatica or Ottimate software (a plus)
  • A professional, team-oriented mindset and strong communication skills
  • No physical requirements or licenses necessary for this role
