Job Title: Packing and Masking Associate – Urgently Hiring!

Pay: $20/hr Hours: 1st Shift – Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a Packing and Masking Associate for a temp-to-hire position with our client, Silvex, a reputable metal finishing company located in Westbrook, Maine. The Packing and Masking Associate will support the production line by accurately masking, unmasking, and repacking parts after they are plated. This position ensures that all components are processed according to finishing specifications and quality standards. The Packing and Masking Associate plays a critical role in maintaining workflow efficiency and product quality. This is a full-time position located in Westbrook, Maine.

As a Packing and Masking Associate, you will be responsible for:

• Masking parts at the beginning of the production line according to job specifications

• Removing masking materials at the end of the line and preparing parts for packing

• Reapplying masking or adjusting components as needed

• Lifting and moving parts weighing up to 35 lbs throughout the shift

• Maintaining consistent pace and movement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Standing for extended periods while performing repetitive tasks

• Inspecting parts before and after masking/unmasking to ensure quality standards

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent

• Previous experience in manufacturing or packing preferred

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions

• A dependable work ethic and the ability to maintain a steady pace

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

• The physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods

• Successful completion of a reference check, background screening, and fit-for-duty physical

Work Environment:

This role operates in a manufacturing environment. While performing job duties, the associate is frequently exposed to the production floor, fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and loud noise levels.
