Job Title: Laborer – Urgently Hiring

Pay: $16.40 per hour Hours: 1st Shift, Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a Laborer for a full-time position for our client, a lumber processing facility located in Burnham, Maine. The Laborer will play a key role in safely and efficiently handling lumber products in a sawmill environment. Success in this position looks like maintaining strong attention to quality while performing physically demanding tasks to keep production flowing smoothly. This is a very physical role requiring stamina and strength and is based onsite in Burnham, Maine.

As a Laborer, you will:

• Safely remove assigned lumber grades from the green chain.

• Stack boards on designated cobs to maximize process flow.

• Maintain quality standards by inspecting lumber during handling.

• Use proper lifting techniques to handle materials weighing 15–25 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs.

• Stay alert and focused in a noisy and dusty sawmill environment.

• After 4 PM, assist with cleaning up remaining boards and sawmill areas as needed.

The ideal candidate will have:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).

• Previous labor or manufacturing experience (preferred).

• Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.

• Ability to work on feet for the entire shift and lift heavy materials.

• Strong attention to safety and quality.

• Willingness to work in noisy and dusty conditions.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work on your feet all day.

• Ability to lift 15–25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs as needed.

• Good eye for quality and strong hand/eye coordination.

• Capability to work in a sawmill environment with noise and dust.

PPE:

• Steel-toe shoes required.

• Eye and hearing protection provided.
