Job Title: Warehouse Sorter of Donations — Urgently Hiring
Pay: $17/hour Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 7 days a week (Part-time or Full-time hours available within this window) Start Date: ASAPWe are seeking a Warehouse Sorter of Donations for a temporary position for our client, a fast-paced donation and sorting center located in Gorham, Maine. The Warehouse Sorter of Donations will be responsible for bailing credential donations by unloading bags of clothing from palletized gaylords and compacting them using a downstroke machine. The Warehouse Sorter of Donations plays a critical role in maintaining workflow and supporting the facility’s day-to-day operations. This is a 1-month assignment located in Gorham, ME.
As a Warehouse Sorter of Donations, you will:
Remove bags of donated clothing from palletized containers (gaylords)
Load bags into a downstroke bailing machine for compaction
Operate within a warehouse environment on a concrete floor
Maintain a clean and safe work area
Lift, bend, and reach frequently throughout the shift
Work independently and as part of a team to meet daily goals
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
Education: No formal education requirements
Experience: Warehouse or physically demanding work preferred but not required
Skills: Ability to follow directions, operate machinery safely, and handle donations with care
Personal Characteristics: Reliable, team-oriented, and strong attention to detail
Certifications/Licenses: None required
Physical Abilities: Must be able to stand for the full shift; able to lift and move bags of clothing continuously
