The Accounting Specialist in Bangor, Maine is responsible for managing accounts payable, receivable and payroll functions. You’ll have a solid understanding of how to work closely with the Vice President of Finance, comply with regulations and insure smooth financial processes. In this role, you will prepare and process payments, track accounts, and perform monthly reconciliation of accounts. You may also assist with enrolling employees in payroll, and also identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting workflows. This is a full time, 1st position.
Accounting Specialist Qualifications:
High School Graduate or equivalent
Solid knowledge of Excel
Excellent phone and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Works well under pressure
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Ability to maintain accurate financial records
AR and AP, as well as bookkeeping abilities
Financial software savvy
Required Skills:
Previous experience in an office setting
At least 3+ years of familiarity with accounting principles and procedures
Bachelors or higher in accounting or related field preferred
Experience with tax, payroll and compliance
Accounting Specialist Details:
Schedule: Monday-Friday 1st Shift
Pay Rate: $23+/hr DOE
Start Date: ASAP
