The Grant Accountant job in Bangor, Maine is responsible for managing and ensuring proper use of grant funding in compliance with federal and state laws for publicly funded programs. You’ll have a solid understanding of how to oversee post-award processes for government awards, with specific grant requirements. Also, functions of this role also include tracking, recording, and organizing data. Coordinating and creating a schedule of reporting are also included duties. Processing reimbursements, invoices and check requests are also job duties of this role. This is a full time position.
Grant Accountant Qualifications:
Bachelors in Accounting or related field
Strong attention to detail
Experience with spreadsheets and their functions
Accounting software experience
Previous experience with accounting projects highly desirable
Ability to work in a face paced environment
Higher level accounting and accounts payable experience
Experience with balance sheets and reconciliations
Required Skills:
Bachelors degree in accounting or related filed required
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in federal grants auditing or working with government agencies
Demonstrated experience with Uniform Grant Guidance
Grant Accountant Details:
Schedule: Monday-Friday 1st Shift 40-50 hours weekly
Pay Rate: $62k+/yr depending on experience
Start Date: ASAP
