Job Title: Mortgage Assistant Pay: $21.38 - $23.57 per hour Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm Start Date: ASAP Join a well-known and respected banking company as a Mortgage Assistant in Bar Harbor, Maine, and make an impact every day. As a Mortgage Assistant, you'll handle key responsibilities in supporting mortgage processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and customer satisfaction. You’ll work closely with the team to maintain smooth operations and help clients achieve their financial goals. What You'll Do As a Mortgage Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing mortgage documents from start to finish
• Managing loan payoffs, discharges, and registry of deeds
• Assisting with contacting attorneys, appraisers, and brokers
• Ordering appraisals and title work as needed
• Tracking homeowners insurance
• Answering customer questions and concerns
• Performing backup duties for customer service

   

What You'll Bring The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• High school diploma
• 6+ months of mortgage experience preferred
• Familiarity with banking operations preferred
• Notary Public Certification preferred
• Strong office skills and attention to detail
