Job Title: Line/Prep Cook – Urgently Hiring
Pay: $18/Hr. to $20/Hr. Hours: Wednesday & Thursday: 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM; Friday to Sunday: Availability needed between 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Start Date: ASAPWe are seeking a Line/Prep Cook for a temp-to-hire position for our client, a popular, family-owned restaurant located in South Berwick, Maine. The Line/Prep Cook will be responsible for preparing food items according to recipes, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, and assisting with dishwashing as needed. Success in this role means delivering consistent food quality while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. This is a year-round position that can accommodate one full-time or multiple part-time hires.
As a Line/Prep Cook, you will be responsible for:Prepare all food items according to established recipes and portion standards
Set up and stock food stations with necessary supplies
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards for kitchen equipment and work areas
Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures
Support dishwashing duties as needed during peak hours
Assist with daily kitchen breakdown and equipment maintenance
A high school diploma or equivalent
Some culinary experience (up to one year preferred)
Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques
A team-oriented, dependable, and proactive attitude
The ability to work 8-hour shifts, stand for extended periods, and lift/move up to 50 pounds
