Job Title: Quality Inspector II
Pay: $30/Hr. Depending on Experience Hours: Monday to Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm, with regular overtime opportunities Start Date: ASAP We are seeking a Quality Inspector II for a full-time, temp-to-hire position for our client, a well-established manufacturing company located in Biddeford, ME. The Quality Inspector II will play a critical role in maintaining the highest level of quality throughout the manufacturing process. The Quality Inspector II ensures that materials, machined or welded components, and finished products meet all required specifications and standards. This is a long-term opportunity located in Biddeford, Maine, offering competitive pay and benefits. As a Quality Inspector II, you will be responsible for:Inspecting materials, in-process work, machined/welded pieces, and finished products for conformance to specifications
Reading and interpreting technical documents including blueprints, MIS, purchase orders, and engineering work orders
Using precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and material properties
Inspecting welds and assisting with welder testing and certification
Recording inspection results and determining the disposition of rejected items
Reporting deviations and non-conformities to the Quality Manager
Following ISO procedures for corrective actions and quality remediation
Traveling occasionally to domestic and international vendor sites for inspections
Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area
Adhering to safety, quality, and environmental policies
Performing other duties as assigned
A two-year technical college degree in fabrication, machining, or a related field, or equivalent formal training
A minimum of 10 years of inspection experience in a machine or fabrication shop environment
Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
Proficiency with various inspection tools and measuring instruments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
Effective problem-solving skills for real-time manufacturing challenges
Physical ability to perform inspection tasks including standing, bending, and lifting as needed
