Pay: $19.22 – $24.88 per hour Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday (30-minute lunch) Start Date: ASAP

As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll support pharmacists in fulfilling prescriptions, providing friendly customer service, and ensuring smooth pharmacy operations. Your work directly impacts patients’ health and well-being, and you'll collaborate closely with clinical staff to meet organizational goals.

What You'll Do

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Creating and maintaining accurate patient profiles, including demographics, insurance details, and allergies, to facilitate correct and timely prescription processing.
• Balancing quality and efficiency by completing pharmacy tasks such as data entry, medication filling, shipping, and inventory management.
• Answering routine questions about drug coverage, prices, product availability, and pharmacy services, using sound judgment to assist patients and staff.
• Abiding by all applicable laws and regulations, including HIPAA, federal, and state pharmacy standards, to ensure patient privacy and safety.
• Utilizing electronic medical records (Athena) and pharmacy systems to process medication refills, review medication purchases, and support cost-effective decisions.
• Demonstrating professionalism by acting as a role model for pharmacy staff, fostering teamwork, and providing excellent service.
• Participating in department meetings and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workflow and patient care.

What You'll Bring

The ideal candidate will have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred; knowledge of pharmacy terms and medical settings is a plus.
• An active Maine Pharmacy Technician license or the ability to acquire it within 90 days.
• Demonstrated computer skills, including data entry and word processing.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a positive attitude.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow through on tasks accurately.
• Comfort handling sensitive conversations with patients and healthcare staff.

Location & Schedule:

This on-site position is based in Brunswick, Maine. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a half-hour lunch break. If needed, there may be adjustment to work location before April 27, 2026, to 901 Washington Ave, Portland.
