Job Title: Snap Collator

Pay: $19 - $20/hour depending on experience Hours: Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM Start Date: ASAP

As a Snap Collator, you’ll operate and maintain equipment that consolidates and trims business forms, ensuring precision, speed, and quality standards. You'll collaborate closely with the production team to meet daily targets and uphold safety and efficiency standards.

What You’ll Do:

As a Snap Collator, you will be responsible for:

• Prioritizing work tasks based on delivery schedules, order size, and specifications to ensure timely completion.
• Calculating the number of boxes needed and preparing accurate shipping labels to ensure proper order fulfillment.
• Retrieving boxes, chips, and rolls of finished forms from storage areas and preparing them for processing.
• Loading rolls onto spindles according to job tickets, ensuring proper setup for uninterrupted workflow.
• Adjusting machine settings, including slitter blades, pins, brushes, and glue nozzles, to match job specifications.
• Threading paper forms through rollers, aligning them precisely for optimal quality control.
• Running samples to verify proper alignment and quality standards before full production runs.
• Monitoring machinery during operation, making adjustments as necessary to maintain consistency.
• Packaging finished products by stacking, jogging, inserting chips, taping boxes, and applying labels accurately.
• Completing timesheets and delivering finished jobs to the appropriate departments promptly.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area following all safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

What You’ll Bring:

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills necessary for documentation and measurement tasks.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret and follow detailed job instructions.
• Experience operating machinery, hoists, pallet jacks, or other production tools is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and meet production deadlines consistently.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment (hearing protection provided).
• Capable of lifting and pulling items weighing from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs. throughout the shift.
• Ability to tend equipment, load, and unload machinery safely and efficiently.

Location & Schedule:

This position is on-site in Portland, ME, and offers a Monday–Friday schedule from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
