Job Title: Senior Assembly Technician

Pay: $32 per hour Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Flexibility available once fully trained) Start Date: ASAP

What You’ll Do:

As a Senior Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for executing complex assembly, integration, and optical alignment of advanced optical and mechanical components based on detailed drawings, procedures, and specifications. You will operate in cleanroom environments, strictly adhering to contamination control protocols. Your duties include verifying component dimensions with precision measuring tools, diagnosing and resolving assembly challenges, and working alongside engineers and technicians to ensure seamless system integration. Additionally, you will update assembly procedures, maintain detailed records, and conduct system testing and calibration to ensure optimal performance.

What You’ll Bring:

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or technical certification in a related field is preferred but not required
• 5+ years of experience in precision assembly, ideally within optics, photonics, aerospace, or high-tech industries
• Strong electrical assembly skills, including repairing small electronic devices such as cell phones
• Proficiency in working with small parts under stereo microscopes
• Experience working in cleanroom environments with strict contamination protocols
• Skilled in using precision measuring tools and hand tools
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions
• Excellent manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Effective communication and collaborative skills
• Experience with optical alignment and testing processes is highly desirable
• Knowledge of epoxy bonding and adhesive techniques is a plus

Location & Schedule:

This position is onsite in Saco, ME, offering standard daytime hours with some flexibility once you are trained.
