Job Title: Staff Accountant

Pay: $22.50 - $27/hour Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Start Date: ASAP

In this role, you'll play an integral part in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and contributing to the organization’s success. You’ll work closely with the Financial Controller and Financial Analysts to deliver precise reporting and streamline accounting processes.

What You’ll Do:

As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing and posting monthly journal entries, including reclassifications and program-specific entries.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and make necessary corrections to ensure accuracy.
• Create and manage accounts receivable invoices using MIP software and monitor accounts receivable and payable activities, promptly flagging any delays or discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closings, support billing, reporting, and budgeting activities, and serve as a backup for financial reporting, analysis, and audits.

What You’ll Bring:

• Previous Staff Accountant experience
• Background in non profit organization
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or equivalent experience (4–7 years)
• Able to work well independently
• Have strong attention to detail
• Strong Microsoft Word & Excel experience
