Job Title: Housekeeper
Pay: $18.50 per hour
Hours: M-F, 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM (Some weekends required for coverage)
Start Date: ASAP Temp-to-Hire

What You’ll Do:
As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for:

Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment within the healthcare facility.

Clean and disinfect patient rooms, restrooms, operating rooms, and common areas.

Follow strict hygiene and infection control protocols to prevent the spread of disease.

Dispose of medical waste, general waste, and pharmaceutical waste according to safety regulations.

Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and linens throughout the facility.

Utilize specialized cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively.

Respond to immediate cleaning needs in high-traffic areas like the ER or OR.

Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to leadership immediately.
What You’ll Bring:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:

Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.

Personal Characteristics: High level of dependability, a strong willingness to learn, and a commitment to patient safety.

Experience: Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience is a plus, but not required.

Physical Abilities: Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, walk, and kneel for the duration of the shift; must be able to exert up to 50 lbs of force occasionally and 10–25 lbs frequently.

Location & Schedule:
This position is on-site in Rockport, ME. The standard schedule is
Monday through Friday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with occasional weekend coverage as needed.
