Job Title: Batching Technician 

Pay: $22/Hr. to $25/Hr.  Hours: Monday to Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm Start Date: ASAP We are seeking a Batching Technician for a Temp to Hire position for our client, a leader in food manufacturing, located in Westbrook, ME. The Batching Technician will be trained to set up, operate, and tend equipment that cooks, mixes, blends, and processes ingredients used in manufacturing food-grade products. This position ensures the integrity and quality of the product, and will be responsible for accurate record keeping, temperature checks, and the timely release of product to the production line. The Batching Technician must have high attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and safely throughout the day. This is a Temp to Hire position located in Westbrook. As a Batching Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Accurately documenting quantities and quality of product prepared.

• Maintaining accurate batch records, including supporting documentation.

• Monitoring production processes and being highly observant for variations that may be out of the norm.

• Practicing safe handling of chemicals and ingredients, and complying with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.

• Ensuring compliance with quality, safety policies, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

• Performing cleaning and sanitation of equipment as needed.

• Reporting any issues to the department lead and supporting SQF initiatives.

• Adapting to changes in production needs and priorities as required.

• Lifting up to 50 lbs. or more, with the ability to work in confined areas and stand for long periods.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• A High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).

• No prior experience required; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.

• Basic math skills and ability to audit paperwork.

• Ability to comply with SHA Lockout/Tagout Compliance Training.

• Strong time management and prioritization skills.

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs. (60+ lbs. requires a partner), and perform frequent physical activity, including walking, bending, and lifting.
