Job Title: Warehouse Laborer – Urgently Hiring

We are seeking a Warehouse Laborer for a full-time position for our client, a long-established and stable warehouse operation located in Portland, Maine. The Warehouse Laborer will be responsible for supporting warehouse operations through a variety of tasks including inventory management, loading/unloading, packaging, and shipping. The Warehouse Laborer thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, maintains a clean and safe workspace, and is eager to grow and learn with the company. This is a temp-to-hire position located in Portland, ME, with a strong potential for permanent employment and long-term career growth.

As a Warehouse Laborer, you will be responsible for:

• Load and unload materials from trucks and containers

• Receive, store, and stock inventory in designated warehouse locations

• Use a slip system to locate products efficiently

• Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipping

• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks (once trained)

• Maintain cleanliness and order of the warehouse workspace

• Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures including the use of PPE

• Perform basic math to count inventory and verify shipments

• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

• Adapt to changing tasks and prioritize work as needed

• Stand and walk for long periods on concrete flooring

• Lift and move items up to 50–60 lbs regularly

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• A high school diploma or GED preferred

• Previous warehouse experience is a plus

• Basic computer and math skills

• English proficiency for safety and instruction comprehension

• A strong team player mentality with a willingness to learn

• Physical stamina for standing, lifting, bending, and moving throughout the shift

• A positive attitude and ability to take guidance constructively

• Interest in long-term, stable employment with room to grow
