Job Title: Cook – Urgently Hiring (2 Openings) Pay: Starting at $20.00/hour Hours: 40 hours/week; shifts vary within 10:30 AM – 9:30 PM, 4 days/week plus floating event days Start Date: ASAP We are seeking a Cook for a temp-to-hire position for our client, a well-known resort property located in New Gloucester, Maine. The Cook will work in the kitchen facility, supporting daily meal preparation and food service for regular dining and events. The Cook will assist the chef with prepping, cooking, and following instructions to deliver high-quality food in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time role with flexible scheduling based on events and staffing needs. As a Cook, you will be responsible for:

• Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes and chef instructions
• Assist in ingredient prep and maintain a clean, organized kitchen station
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines consistently
• Adapt to schedule changes and support food service during special events
• Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations
• Wear proper kitchen attire including non-slip, closed-toe shoes and provided polo shirt

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1 year experience in a kitchen or food prep role
• Ability to follow directions and perform tasks under supervision
• Flexibility to work variable shifts depending on event needs
• Strong work ethic and ability to multitask in a busy kitchen
• Required attire: black pants, non-slip closed-toe shoes (polo shirts provided)
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
