Job Title: Manufacturing Cook or Assistant Cook
Pay: $19/Hr. to $25/Hr. Hours: Monday to Friday, 5:30 AM start – end by 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM Start Date: ASAP We are seeking a Manufacturing Cook or Assistant Cook for a full-time position with our client, a leading food manufacturing company located in Westbrook. The Manufacturing Cook will play a key role in food preparation and production within a commercial kitchen environment, ensuring food safety and quality standards are met. The Assistant Cook will support the cook with preparation and delivery of ingredients and materials. As a Manufacturing Cook, you will be responsible for:Preparing large volume batches of food products, following recipes and good manufacturing practices (GMP)
Ensuring compliance with food safety, GMP, and HACCP standards
Inspecting equipment and maintaining a clean and sanitary work area
Working with precision in mixing and cooking to meet production deadlines and quality specifications
Documenting processes accurately and thoroughly
Ensuring the safety of the product and the work environment
Assisting the cook with ingredient preparation and ensuring materials are delivered to the cook in a timely manner
Helping to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Supporting the cook with the execution of recipes and food production processes
Ensuring proper food safety and GMP compliance
A high school diploma or GED (required)
Prior experience in a commercial kitchen setting (preferred)
Knowledge of food safety and manufacturing standards
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
Good physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 60lbs regularly
Ability to work well with a team and communicate effectively
