Job Title: Welder II (Immediate Need)

Welder Pay Range: $Depending on Experience Welder Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Bonney Staffing is seeking an experienced Welder for a full-time, first-shift position in Gorham, ME. This role involves welding a variety of metals and alloys, as well as assembling metal fabrications. If you have extensive experience in welding and metal fabrication, and are looking for a career with long-term growth potential, this opportunity might be perfect for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welding Setup: Set up parts for welding using hand tools including clamps, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Welding Operations: Perform welding using handheld equipment with FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW processes, adhering to approved procedures.
  • Material Preparation: Cut, grind, and sand metal using power hand tools to prepare materials for welding.
  • Quality Check: Inspect finished work to ensure it meets blueprint tolerances.
  • Fabrication and Assembly: Read, fabricate, and weld from drawings, specifications, diagrams, or schematics.
  • Process Monitoring: Monitor welding, burning, and fitting processes to prevent overheating, warping, distortion, or shrinkage.
  • Product Tagging: Tag all final products with identification.
  • Maintenance: Maintain, organize, and clean equipment and work area; operate overhead crane as needed.
  • Safety: Follow strict safety regulations including wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Vocational, technical, or trade school training is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in various forms of welding.
  • Proficient in GTAW, FCAW, and GMAW welding techniques.
  • Successful completion of an internal welding test.
  • Thorough understanding of welding machines and tools.
  • Ability to read drawings and follow written instructions.
  • Basic math skills related to welding assignments.
  • Manual dexterity and precision for detailed work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Must pass a post-employment offer drug screen and background check.
