The Assistant to the Business Manager will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the business. The ideal candidate will be versatile, proactive, and ready to take on a variety of tasks to support the business manager and help drive efficiency within the company. A positive attitude and ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment are essential.
Details:Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:15 PM
Pay Rate: $24/Hr (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Support the Business Manager with daily tasks and ongoing projects.
Perform basic bookkeeping and assist with maintaining financial records.
Coordinate with vendors to manage contracts, orders, and services.
Troubleshoot software and IT issues as needed.
Assist with special projects and various administrative needs.
Help answer phones during staff shortages to maintain seamless communication.
Ensure the office is stocked with necessary supplies and manage other office essentials.
If applicable: Assist with straightforward HR-related tasks, including onboarding new employees, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with basic company policies.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Basic knowledge of bookkeeping, or a willingness to learn.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks).
A proactive, positive attitude with a team-player mindset.
Prior administrative or business support experience is a plus.
Bonus: Experience or comfort in handling basic HR tasks, such as onboarding and employee record maintenance. This would be highly valued and would justify consideration for a higher pay rate.
