The 1st Shift Manufacturing Kitchen Prep Associate position in York, Maine involves assisting cooks in the preparation and processing of products. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for the right candidate with room for growth and development. 

1st Shift Manufacturing Kitchen Prep Associate Responsibilities:

• Assist cooks with product preparation, cooking, and processing
• Weigh, measure, and prepare ingredients for cooking
• Set up kettles and other kitchen equipment
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area throughout the shift
• Cross-train to work on the manufacturing line and warehouse as needed
• Follow all safety, food safety, and sanitation policies

1st Shift Manufacturing Kitchen Prep Associate Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent experience
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. (team lift for heavier items)
• Previous food industry or manufacturing experience is a plus
• Strong basic math skills and experience with weights and measures
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment, including pallet jacks and transfer pumps
• Comfortable working in a wet environment with pungent or mixed smells

Details:

• Schedule: 
• Overtime on Saturdays may be required depending on production needs
• Pay Rate: $20/hour
