The Accounts Payable Associate position in Brunswick, Maine is responsible for handling essential accounts payable functions, including invoice and journal entries, expense imports, supplier maintenance, statement reconciliation, payment settlements, and assisting with general accounting tasks. You’ll have a solid understanding of invoice processing, bookkeeping, and financial systems. This is a part-time, first-shift position, scheduled from 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, totaling 19 hours per week (with potential for more hours). This position is on-site and expected to run until September 2025 with the possibility of permanent hire.

Accounts Payable Associate Qualifications:

• High School Graduate or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an office setting with a focus on customer service
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and ability to maintain accurate financial records
• Ability to work independently within a team-oriented environment
• Excellent verbal, written, and customer service skills
• Accounts Payable and/or bookkeeping experience preferred
• Subject to a criminal background and credit check

Required Skills:

• High school diploma or GED
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Customer service and interpersonal skills for internal collaboration with various departments

Accounts Payable Associate Details:

• Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (19 hours per week, potentially more)
• Pay Rate: $18.65 – $19.00 per hour
• Start Date: ASAP
