Job Title: Driver - CDL Not Required - DIRECT HIRE
Driver Pay Range: $19-$26/hr DOE
Driver Schedule: Hours will fluctuate time to time. It could be 8am - 5pm or 11am - 8pm, depending on the load/schedule time.
Driver Start Date: ASAP
Bonney Staffing has partnered with a local family-owned Seafood Distributor in Scarborough, looking to add to their team! This is a seasonal direct hire opportunity with either PT or FT hours based on business need.
Driver Responsibilities:
The Driver opening is responsible for transporting raw materials to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers. Duties include:
- Routinely inspecting vehicles for mechanical and safety issues.
- Performing preventative maintenance.
- Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules.
- Documenting work/rest periods and miles driven.
- Inputting "macros" into our automated system for the loading and unloading process.
- Complying with truck driving rules and regulations, as well as company policies.
- Maneuvering trucks into loading/unloading positions and verifying delivery instructions.
- Reporting any defects, accidents, or violations.
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of trucks.
Driver Qualifications:
- Valid Class A or Class B driving license. Or a Valid Class C license.
- Must pass a background check, drug screen (no THC), and have a driver’s medical card.
- Proven work experience as a truck driver. Must be able to drive a box truck at minimum
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
- No recent moving or driving violations.
- Adaptability to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather, etc.).
- Ability to use a pallet jack.
- Ability to lift 50-100 lbs.
