Job Title: QC Inspector – Urgently Hiring

Pay: $24/Hr. to 25/Hr. (Up to $28/Hr. for highly skilled candidates) Hours: Flexible start time (5:00, 6:00, or 8:00 AM) to 5:00 PM with available overtime Start Date: ASAP We are seeking a QC Inspector for a temp-to-hire or quick-hire position for our client, a precision machining and manufacturing company serving the defense, industrial, and commercial markets. This position is located in Limerick, ME. The QC Inspector will play a critical role in ensuring high-quality standards in a dynamic job shop environment. Success in this role means independently executing inspections with minimal training, using precision tools to validate part accuracy and quality. • Interpreting and analyzing blueprints and engineering drawings

• Developing, executing, and documenting inspection plans and quality reports

• Performing dimensional inspections using precision instruments, including calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, height gauges, and vision systems

• Operating CMM inspection arms (most tasks are automated)

• Ensuring all parts meet dimensional and surface finish specifications

• Collaborating with machinists and engineers to resolve quality concerns

• Supporting production goals while maintaining strict quality standards

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training a plus)

• Previous QC inspection experience in a machining or manufacturing environment

• Strong proficiency with inspection tools: calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.

• Solid understanding of GD&T and tolerance interpretation

• Ability to work independently and efficiently manage multiple tasks

• Consideration also given to experienced machinists looking to move into QC

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• A detail-oriented, quality-driven mindset
