.Net/C# Software Engineer

DIRECT HIRE

You’ll be a contributor to all levels of our clients software design and development. You’ll interface directly with senior managers (CTO and Development Managers) and sometimes with our clients to understand the problem and build elegant solutions. You’ll work on feature development, testing, bug fixing, maintenance, and support. You will have the opportunity to work on all aspects of our technology pipeline, from black-box algorithms to real-time visual analytics, from server and UI coding to our messaging architecture. This is a Hybrid role 1 day per week in office. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a thorough understanding of business and user requirements
  • Design elegant and efficient solutions. Apply best practices in software architecture, focusing on performance, maintainability, and usability to deliver robust systems.
  • Work together with team members to develop scalable, testable, and competent code
  • Conduct thorough testing of code, including unit, integration, and performance tests, to ensure quality and stability. Manage deployment pipelines and oversee the transition of code into production environments, while monitoring for potential issues and resolving them promptly.

Hard Requirements:    Technical Requirements:
  • 3-10 years of experience in software development
  • Proven track record of developing, deploying, and maintaining software applications in a professional environment. Experience should demonstrate a strong foundation in software engineering principles, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable code.
  • Proficient in C#.NET (3+ years of experience)
  • Experience with backend technologies (database, messaging, interprocess communications)

       Non-Technical Requirements:
  • Demonstrated analysis/assessment capabilities
  • Excellent task management skills with the ability to follow up and follow through on all outstanding items
  • A self-starter mentality with the ability to attempt to figure things out and perform due diligence before involving the broader team
  • The ability to ascertain when to ask for help

       Miscellaneous: 
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in a technical field

Nice to Have:
  • Exposure to gRPC is a plus
  • An affinity for well-architected solutions and a passion for high standards of quality
  • Based in NYC metro area
