About James Barker:

So far so good! James has been reassuring during the process so far, polite and friendly. When you're looking to change jobs it's good to have a confident and personable voice on the other end of the phone. Career changes can be scary sometimes and you just need the recruiter to keep you on track. I've spoken with agencies before who have made you feel you are one of many and quite abrupt in their manner. This is not the case with James and Astute Technical Recruitment.

I had not dealt with James before, however he came over as a very good professional. Very friendly, easy to communicate with. He listened to what I had to say ie my requirements and concerns. Offered reassurance and professional advice. I would recommend James to colleagues. Astute are a great and very professional company.

Very comprehensive discussion about my situation, needs and background. Give as much info as he could about the position - I had some previous knowledge of his client. If unsuccessful he would look for positions suitable for my requirements. At the moment I don't know anyone looking for a new position but would recommend contacting James (contact details are on my laptop)

James contacted me after finding my details on CV library and has matched me to a local full time position I both would love to have and have the skills and experience asked for. James was very easy going but also made sure to ask all the right questions needed to make sure I met the criteria he has to meet. I would definitely recommend James to any of my friends or colleges that are looking for guidance in their job search. Unfortunately I don't currently know anybody looking for a change
