The Technical Support Engineer role comes with a salary of £38,000–£45,000 (depending on experience), pension and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Responsibilities and duties of the Technical Support Engineer role
Reporting to the Technical Manager you will:

Provide technical support to customers and Sales team for Switchgear products, including application guidance and troubleshooting.

Propose appropriate solutions to meet customer application requirements, ensuring technical suitability and clear communication of key assumptions or limitations.

Deliver product technical and catalogue training to customers and staff.

Attend customer sites to provide commissioning and troubleshooting assistance where required.

Assist the sales team with technical estimates for quotations.

Assess customer product returns and prepare clear technical assessment reports to support issue resolution and continuous improvement.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

Electrical/Electronic Engineering diploma or equivalent qualification

Minimum of 4 years’ experience within the low-voltage electrical sector

Salary and benefits of the Technical Support Engineer role

Salary: £38,000–£45,000 per annum (negotiable, pending on experience).

Monday–Friday, 08:30–17:00 (with flexible start/finish times).

25 days holiday plus bank holidays (33 days in total).
