Electrical Quality Manager

Location: Bridgwater, Somerset

Contract: 6 months initially, with potential extension Rate: Competitive day rate IR35: Outside IR35 Working pattern: Minimum 2 days per week on site, ideally more The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Quality Manager to support a major electrical construction project in Bridgwater.

This is a site-focused role for an experienced electrical professional who has strong QA/QC experience and can take ownership of quality issues, work with subcontractors and project teams, and ensure electrical installation works are delivered to the required standards.

The client is looking for someone who can get involved, solve problems and drive quality on site rather than simply manage the paperwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee electrical quality activities across the project.

• Develop, review and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).

• Carry out site inspections and monitor electrical installation quality.

• Identify, manage and close out NCRs, defects and snags.

• Work closely with electrical subcontractors and the wider project team.

• Review testing, inspection and certification documentation.

• Support commissioning, handover and completion activities.

• Maintain accurate quality records using project systems including Viewpoint and Field View.

• Support audits and ensure project quality requirements are maintained.

• Provide practical support and guidance to site teams where quality issues arise.

Minimum Requirements

• Strong background in electrical construction / installation.

• Proven QA/QC experience on major construction projects.

• Experience with ITPs, NCRs, inspections, testing and defect management.

• Relevant electrical qualifications, ideally NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation, 18th Edition and/or C&G 2391.

• Comfortable working independently on a live construction site.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Experience working with subcontractors and project delivery teams.
