Introduction
Astute are supporting a Portsmouth based client who are a leader in the provision of the design and manufacture of life critical safety systems. With a structured growth plan in place, an exciting vacancy exists for a Test Support Technician to provide technical support for all shop floor test equipment.
This opportunity is on a double day shift 0600/1400 - 1400/2200 with a 24% shift premium.
Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for:
- Provide support for all production test equipment, jigs, and fixtures (repair and maintenance).
- Support the Maintenance team in the creation of operating procedures, preventative maintenance procedures and records.
- Ensure input of maintenance and calibration records are detailed and accurately maintained to ensure continued compliance with our quality management system.
- Analyse and continually improve equipment performance by working with Production Staff and Engineering, and by monitoring yield KPI’s.
- Utilise the automated reporting tools to analyse and improve equipment performance.
- Work closely with the Test solutions team to identify equipment and processes suitable for CI
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Electronics
- Experience with fault finding & diagnostic at component level.
- Able to read technical and schematic drawings.
- LabView experience is highly desirable.
- Experienced in using manual hand tools such as multi-meters/oscilloscope
