Responsibilities and Duties of the Mechanical Technician role
Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor you will:

Understand and be capable of delivering the high levels of quality workmanship to tight timescales expected of our clients and their customers.

Undertaking maintenance and associated tasks related to Mechanical equipment, to a high standard, working alone or as part of a team.

Taking responsibility for accurate fault diagnosis and implementation of work with consideration of cost, reliability and availability.

Working in a flexible manner within levels of competency to contribute to the delivery of work programmes alongside other disciplines and work teams on site.

Adhering to the Client safety rules and procedures and perform roles within the rules following training and accreditation.

Be able to respond positively when unforeseen circumstances occur.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

Time Served Apprenticeship in a Mechanical Engineering field

Strong experience working with rotating equipment such as Steam Turbines, Gas Turbines and associated equipment

Experience working in a heavy process environment such as a power station, refinery, chemical plant or paper mill.

As this is a field based role, a full UK driving licence is a necessity
