Responsibilities and duties of Plant Manager role
Reporting to the Director you will:

Oversee operations during construction and commissioning
-
Set up process and safety standards
-
Recruit and train the local team and ensure development of site personnel.

Ensure compliance with international best practice
-
Tracking costs for project and outages
-
Create and manage budget and financial spend taking financial responsibility for the plant.

Ensuring that the facility is operated efficiently and that all performance targets are met or exceeded.
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
-
Ideally qualified with a degree in a relevant Engineering field.

HNC / HND / ONC or similarly qualified candidates with relevant work experience will be welcome to apply.

Ideally hold an IOSH / NEBOSH or equivalent in Health & Safety.
Personal skills
The Plant Manager role would suit someone who is:
-
At least 5 years senior management experience on a Large Process Plant with; Energy from Waste, Waste Recycling, Aggregate, Quarry or Concrete Plant experience.

Strong man-management and leadership skills with proven experience in successfully achieving plant KPI’s.

Familiar with Engineering standards and legislation such as PSSR, LOLER, PUWER etc.

Proven Budget/Commercial/Strategic experience.
