The Electrical Technician role comes with a 18-month minimum contract operating under the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) and the opportunity to work on a busy and safety-critical site.

Responsibilities and duties of the Electrical Technician roleCompetently perform the duties of a qualified technician as part of a team engaged in installation, modification, maintenance, repair, testing and trials of electrical systems and equipment
Carry out installation activities in accordance with relevant drawings and Safe Systems of Work
Support operations including testing and trials
Undertake maintenance and repair tasks
Carry out support installation, modification, EMIT (Examination, Maintenance, Inspection & Test) and decommissioning activities as required
Work from schematics, diagrams and engineering drawings to install equipment
Install systems and equipment in compliance with relevant regulatory and legislative requirements
Complete and maintain all associated records and documentation
We are looking for someone with the following:
Completion of a recognised Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent training
City & Guilds Level 3 certification in Electrical Engineering
IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
Experience in electrical installation, examination, maintenance, inspection & test and decommissioning
Fully conversant with IEE Regulations
Experience working in site and/or factory environments
Work experience within engineering, science or construction environments
Desirable:
Experience working on a nuclear licensed site or similar high-hazard environment

Safety-focused and able to work within strict Safe Systems of Work
Detail-oriented and capable of working accurately from technical drawings
Comfortable working in regulated, high-hazard environments
A strong team player with the ability to follow project instructions effectively
