Astute’s Renewables Team is partnered with a leading business within the biogas sector, who build and operate a portfolio of renewable energy facilities. They are looking for an Electrical Engineer to help maintain and repair the electrical systems on Anaerobic Digestate Plants throughout the UK.
The strategically important Electrical Engineer role comes with a salary of up to £45,000, excellent benefits package and the chance to be part of an industry leading business within the renewables sector.

Responsibilities and duties of the Electrical Engineer role
Reporting to the Service Manager you will:

Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and control systems in industrial environments

Carry out electrical testing, inspections, and fault diagnosis on power distribution, control circuits, and automation systems

Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance
-
Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs
-
Supporting other members of the service team and the Operational Staff.

Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
-
Working across the UK on sites as required
-
Other duties as required
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
-
Vocational diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline

Full UK Driving Licence
Personal skills
The Electrical Engineer role would suit someone who is:

Excellent knowledge of 3 phase electrical systems
-
Excellent electrical testing and diagnosis skills
-
Ability to read electrical schematics
-
Experience of electric motors
-
Experience with PLC's advantageous (training will be given)

Computer literate
-
Excellent communication skills, a proactive approach with the ability to work on their own or as part of a team
