Together we are looking to recruit a Maintenance Electrician to cover a portfolio of assets around the Middlesborough area, along with additional sites around Aberdeenshire and Northamptonshire when required.

Responsibilities and duties of the Maintenance Electrician role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will:

Perform planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment

Diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently and safely
-
Using data and systems to manage site electrical and control systems
-
Install, commission, and modify control panels and associated wiring
-
Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
-
Work collaboratively with service team, engineering and operation teams
-
Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns
-
Carry out fault finding, problem solving and planned and preventative maintenance on plant equipment to maximise equipment reliability and performance
-
Completing all necessary documentation ensuring that it is kept accurate and is audit ready

Identify and recommend opportunities for improvements to promote Health & Safety and/or operational efficiency and effectiveness

Liaising with contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams to maintain smooth operations.

Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering

Full UK Driving Licence

The Maintenance Electrician role would suit someone who is:

Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician in a factory or process-based setting
-
Happy to travel to sites UK wide

Strong understanding of electrical schematics and control systems

Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills

Strong communicator, able to work independently and as part of a team

Commitment to safety and compliance standards

Computer literate with excellent problem-solving skills
-
CMMS experience would be advantageous

Application of safety, health and environmental legislation and standards
