Senior Authorised Person - Renewable Energy

Introduction
Astute are partnered with one of the most reputable sustainable energy businesses in the UK and a pioneer in the sector. The company develop, construct, own and operate their own renewable energy assets and we’re looking for a Senior Authorised Person to carryout operations, construction, commissioning and maintenance works of the high voltage networks on all renewable energy asset types, including ground mount solar PV assets, battery storage and electric vehicle charging solutions
Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Operations you will be responsible for:

Routine maintenance, testing, and remedial work on high voltage networks

Writing High Voltage switching schedules and approval of the same

Carrying out High Voltage switching

Issuing safety documents in line with the company’s Electrical Safety Rules

Performing High Voltage preventative maintenance in accordance with the annual maintenance plans and completing professional reports

Performing High Voltage corrective maintenance as required and completing reports in a timely manner
-
Leading on High voltage faults and reporting findings
-
Keeping accurate and detailed records of electrical testing, High voltage switching schedules and safety documents that are suitable for audit
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
-
2+ years of SAP-level High Voltage work experience, experience in solar and private networks, must have had authorisation to issue SFT, PTW
-
HV senior authorised up to 33kV at a minimum (private network) an experienced 11kv underground DNO Senior Authorised Person will be considered

Trained to nationally recognised qualifications in HV operational works

Experience in commissioning HV switchgear, cable testing and construction works
-
Working knowledge of G59 and G99 relays

Experience in on site management of operational staff and contractors

A full and clean UK driving licence
-
IOSH or NEBOSH Qualification/SMSTS would be desirable

HND in Electrical Engineering
