Field Service Engineer – EV Chargers South - Portsmouth/Southampton/Bournemouth £36,000 - £40,000 + Electric Vehicle + Benefits     Introduction Astute are partnered with one of the most reputable sustainable energy businesses in the UK and a pioneer in the sector. The company develop, construct, own and operate their own renewable energy assets and we’re looking for a Field Service Engineer to attend customer’s sites, maintaining EV Chargers on a day-to-day basis, carrying out maintenance on installations, utilising and testing EV charge point systems, performing preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance as directed.                   Roles & Responsibilities Reporting to the Field Services Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Undertaking planned inspections and maintenance according to legal, technical, manufacturer and contractual requirements.
  • Performing reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis and resolution in a timely manner.
  • Carrying out site survey requests as required.
  • Compiling accurate and appropriate documentation for both internal and external stakeholders in a precise and timely manner.
  • Keeping accurate and detailed records of electrical testing, High Voltage and safety documents that are suitable for audit.
  • Ensuring that work output meets technical quality, reliability, cost, and productivity.
  • Complying with all aspects of company’s ISO standards: Quality Management – ISO 9001/ Environmental – ISO 14001, proactively contributing to the company’s continuous improvement programme.
  • Complying with the company Health & Safety Policy, including carrying out general housekeeping.
  • Participating in an on-call rota.
  • Other duties as required.
    Skills & Qualifications We are looking for someone with the following:
  •  NVQ Level 3 electrical qualifications or equivalent.
  • 17th/18th edition wiring regulations.
  • Ideally at least a year’s experience in electrical/O&M work.
  • A dynamic and flexible attitude when it comes to call outs and occasional overnight stays.
  • EV Charge point commissioning and O&M experience would be advantageous.
  • A full and clean UK driving license.
  • 3-phase experience is ideal.
