Field Service Engineer – EV Chargers

Introduction
Astute are partnered with one of the most reputable sustainable energy businesses in the UK and a pioneer in the sector. The company develop, construct, own and operate their own renewable energy assets and we’re looking for a Field Service Engineer to attend customer’s sites, maintaining EV Chargers on a day-to-day basis, carrying out maintenance on installations, utilising and testing EV charge point systems, performing preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance as directed.
Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Field Services Manager, you will be responsible for:

Undertaking planned inspections and maintenance according to legal, technical, manufacturer and contractual requirements.

Performing reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis and resolution in a timely manner.

Carrying out site survey requests as required.

Compiling accurate and appropriate documentation for both internal and external stakeholders in a precise and timely manner.

Keeping accurate and detailed records of electrical testing, High Voltage and safety documents that are suitable for audit.

Ensuring that work output meets technical quality, reliability, cost, and productivity.

Complying with all aspects of company’s ISO standards: Quality Management – ISO 9001/ Environmental – ISO 14001, proactively contributing to the company’s continuous improvement programme.

Complying with the company Health & Safety Policy, including carrying out general housekeeping.

Participating in an on-call rota.

Other duties as required.
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
-
NVQ Level 3 electrical qualifications or equivalent.

17th/18th edition wiring regulations.
-
Ideally at least a year’s experience in electrical/O&M work.

A dynamic and flexible attitude when it comes to call outs and occasional overnight stays.

EV Charge point commissioning and O&M experience would be advantageous.

A full and clean UK driving license.
-
3-phase experience is ideal.
