Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake planned inspection and maintenance according to the legal, technical, manufacturer, and contractual requirements.
  • Perform reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and resolution in a timely manner.
  • Adherence to and management of health and safety requirements at all times whilst also helping to maintain and improve safety standards across the Network.
  • Carry out site survey requests as required.
  • Carry out duties according to our company on-call rota system.
  • Compile accurate and appropriate documentation for both internal and external stakeholders in a precise and timely manner.
  • Keeping accurate and detailed records of electrical testing, high voltage, and safety documents that are suitable for audit.
  • Ensure reports are provided in a timely manner and of a good standard at all times.
  • Provide support during the commissioning and onboarding process.
  • Ensure work output meets technical quality, reliability, cost, and productivity.
  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Comply with the Company Health & Safety Policies
  • Comply with all aspects of the Company’s ISO standards: Quality management - ISO 9001 / Environmental - ISO 14001 proactively contributing to the company’s continuous improvement programme.

 

Certification and Skills Required:
  • Relevant electrical qualifications – NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • City & Guilds 17th/18th BS7671
  • Adaptable and flexible – will need to work flexible hours to meet deadlines. Occasionally working away from home.
  • Computer skills; word processing, spreadsheets, email, management, and reporting systems, including the use of diagnostic and troubleshooting tools
  • Outdoor nature of work makes it physically demanding, able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent written and spoken English
  • Positive, can-do attitude
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Able to respond to changing priorities and issues, and an enthusiasm for personal development
  • The ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams and technical manuals
  • Working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and following good practices, especially whilst lone working on site
  • Full clean Driving License

 

Desirable:
  • Good understanding of communications, wiring systems, and schematics
  • Inspection and testing – C&G2391, 2394 & 2395
  • EV charging qualifications and experience
  • Health & Safety qualifications (e.g. IOSH Managing Safely, SMSTS)
  • First aid qualifications
