H&S/CDM Advisor
Home-based (with travel required across the UK sites)
Up to £45,000 salary + car allowance
Introduction
We are currently recruiting for an H&S/CDM Advisor to join a growing engineering company focused on power generation industrial solutions. They have been involved building and operating EFW plants across the UK and are growing at a rapid pace.
This role would involve the management of a wide variety of challenging and interesting projects covering many different construction sectors throughout the UK, including waste and power plant construction.
Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting to the H&S Manager you will be responsible for:

To undertake Principal Designer duties, as defined by the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM) and as otherwise required of the role, including site visits, preparation of the documentation, liaison with Principal Contractor and other associated duties.

To liaise and communicate with clients, designers, contractors, and others and to offer advice and guidance on CDM/health and safety issues.

To assist in the preparation of health and safety/CDM documentation for contractors and others.

To manage projects to the agreed project budgetary limits and timetables.

To attend design meetings, site meetings and carry out site inspections.

To work collaboratively with colleagues and to keep them informed of issues on your projects.
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

At least three years’ relevant experience in the construction industry with experience of CDM/health and safety issues in construction.

Relevant HNC, HND, BSc or MSc (or equivalent) in a related discipline.

CDM Project Management experience.
Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.

NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent/higher.
-
Good knowledge and understanding of appropriate legislation.

A clean driver’s licence.
