Responsibilities and duties of the Graduate Quality Engineer role
Within the role you will:
• Support the implementation and maintenance of quality procedures, inspection plans and project quality requirements
• Translate engineering drawings, specifications and standards into effective shop floor controls • Verify product conformity through inspection and documentation review across fabrication and welding processes • Identify, report and support investigation of non-conformances, contributing to root cause analysis and corrective actions • Maintain accurate quality documentation, including traceability records and certification packs • Assist with internal, customer and third-party audits • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure compliance and resolve quality issues • Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve process control
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
• Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials, Welding, Aerospace or related engineering discipline (or equivalent)
• Ability or willingness to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications • Structured, evidence-based problem-solving approach • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal • High level of personal ownership and integrity • Eligibility to work in the UK and obtain security clearance if requiredPersonal skills
