Responsibilities and duties of the Senior Electrical Engineer role
Within the role you will:
- Lead and manage the electrical design process, from feasibility through to detailed design and delivery
- Act as a key client interface, attending and leading meetings while representing the business professionally
- Develop design briefs, project criteria, and costed engineering solutions aligned with client requirements
- Oversee project delivery, including coordination with multidisciplinary teams and monitoring quality of design and installation
- Support and mentor junior engineers while contributing to team development and technical excellence
- Manage project budgets, tender processes, and commercial aspects including proposals and cost control
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Strong experience in electrical design within the Building Services sector
- Proven ability to manage projects and lead design processes
- Knowledge of current British Standards and industry regulations
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to produce and review technical calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Strong understanding of multidisciplinary coordination within construction projects
