Junior Project Engineer
CONTRACT
Junior Engineer Role Requirement
Reporting to : Site based Construction Manager / PM
5 days on site Mon Fri, split between site and office as required
Role tasks but not limited to:
. Supporting the construction manager to co-ordinate installation of mechanical and electrical
systems associated with process plant and equipment, between the construction site face
and project office.
. Interrogate document control system to identify the required system design detail to assist
with planning and reviewing site installation works.
. Ability to accurately interpret design drawings and bill of materials against installed and to
be installed progress.
. Implement material requests via NIS internal procurement team and manage delivery and
storage of materials inline with project control processes, CoC's Delivery Notes.
. Proactively identify and co-ordinate building services interface connections and raise short
falls to construction manager
. Provide weekly updates to the construction manager on site progress for the week and
deliveries received.
· Through programme activities prioritise attention to support delivery
. Computer literate and confident using Excel - Word - MS Folder system - ability to learn 3rd
party document control system
. Comply with site safety procedures and working, to ensure Health and Safety standards are
maintained.
. Maintain on site calibration and equipment registers managing equipment to be recalibrated
with the NIS Chorley team.
Competencies essential
. Security cleared
. CSCS- Min Labourer card
. 'Driving licence and ability to travel to site each day
. Ability to pass site D&A checks as part of the project induction requirements.
Desirable
.
. Trade specific CSCS
· Engineering qualification or experience in design or Quality background.
· 3-5 years Previous site / engineering experience
