Astute’s Renewables Team is partnering with a well-established renewables contractor operating across both commercial and residential sectors to recruit a Solar Roofer near Middlesbrough.

Responsibilities and duties of the Solar Roofer role
Reporting to the Operations Director you will:

Install solar PV systems on pitched and flat roofs across domestic and commercial sites

Carry out roofing work including mounting systems, flashings, sealing, and waterproofing

Liaise with electricians and site teams to ensure projects run safely and on time

Adhere to health & safety guidelines at all times

Travel across the North East with flexibility for national installs 1 week out of 4

Conduct basic fault-finding and assist with remedial works when required
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:

At least 2 years proven experience as a Solar Roofer

Working at Height and Manual Handling certification
-
CSCS card (required)
-
Full UK driving licence
-
NVQ or equivalent roofing qualification (desirable but not essential)
Personal skills

Comfortable working at height and outdoors in all conditions

Ability to work alone and support Solar Installer Apprentices

£30,000 - £42,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
