  • Conduct inspections on plant equipment, including motors, pumps, gearboxes, and hydraulic systems.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental compliance standards, promoting a culture of accountability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with motor controls, pressure and temperature sensors, and other control systems.
  • Provide support for PLC fault-finding and control system maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, system changes, and equipment configurations.

  • Time-served, dual-trained electrical/mechanical engineer with experience in an industrial setting.

  • Fault finding, installing and maintaining, instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow and level) and control systems.
  • Calibrations and loop checking of instruments relating to the sites DCS/control systems.
  • Maintaining the continuous emission monitoring systems (CEMS)
  • Assist in the development of plant modification and improvement work.
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records using the site CMMS
  • Supervising and directing on site contractors when required
  • Ensuring strict HSE compliance at all times.
    Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following:  
  • A recognised EC&I engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3 / HNC or equivalent
  • Knowledge and understanding of maintenance on controls and instrumentation equipment
  • Experience working in a maintenance position in a similar industry. 
    Personal skills The EC and I Technician role would suit someone who:  
  • Has a positive attitude and is able to take initiative on site. 
  • Adheres to SHEQ regulations. 
  • Able to work Monday to Friday fixed hours.
