As a Business Manager for Couplings, you are responsible for couplings business across the UK & Ireland. Main focus is identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, support the regional sales team, and driving couplings order intake & revenue growth.
You will play a critical role in expanding the company's market presence and achieving business objectives.
Job Description.
Identify new potential customers:

Conduct market analysis to identify new business opportunities and potential customers.

Drive pro-active OI activities for identified customers and support regional sales teams achieving regional OI targets
UK Strategy
-
Define and present the UK strategy for couplings on an annual basis that is aligned to the overall UK strategy
-
Provide quarterly updates on performance to plan, and review monthly with HQ.
Identify applications in the target industry:
-
Identify and analyse current and future applications in the power generation sector.
-
Document specific requirements and challenges of the industry.
Match Product Fit with Our Product Portfolio:
-
Evaluate the compatibility and benefits of our products for the identified applications.

Collaborate with product management to ensure our portfolio meets market demands.
Aligned customer sales approach / customer proximity

Develop CXO relationships with key customers to leverage the Flender ‘value add’

Establish, develop and maintain relationships with key members of COU HQ and relevant sales managers in other regions.
Attend Trade Shows and Conferences and professional Societies:
-
Participate in relevant trade shows and conferences to identify new trends and developments.

Build and maintain relationships with industry experts and potential customers.
Additional Duties:

Technical Consulting and Support:
o Provide technical expertise and support to customers and internal teams.
o Conduct training sessions and presentations on our products and their applications.

Contract Negotiations and Closing:
o Lead (supply and frame) contract negotiations with customers and partners.
o Ensure successful contract closure and long-term customer retention.
o Promote the company's image and interests by professional diligence and expertise.
o Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
o Drive strong discipline in the use and maintenance of corporate project pursuit tools and customer information databases -Sales Force CRM.
o Participates in the annual budgeting process to develop growth targets for the UK business.
· Work with sales team to develop annual sales plans for all regions and territories to support budgeted growth and identify actions and strategies for closing any gaps identified.

Provide monthly forecasted numbers for the couplings business to the Management team
Requirements:

HNC or higher education in Mechanical Engineering beneficial.

At least 5 years’ experience in the couplings industry at a product management level or higher.

Track record of Social/Value based selling

Strong negotiation skills
-
Proven engagement with CXOs
-
Drivers licence
