Astute’s Power team is exclusively partnering with a EPC Contractor to recruit a HSE Advisor on a 24 month contract for its London site. The HSE Advisor role comes with a competitive day rate.                   Key skills  

• Demonstrates leadership and commitment to Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ)
• Actively encourages and leads contractor teams to implement and comply with project HSEQ requirements.
• Intervenes in a strong and persuasive manner in HSE matters on site
• Can competently advise on HSE matters at all levels within the project organisation
• Provides technical support to the persons responsible for safety on the construction sites
• Administers the permit to work process when required
• Undertakes Level 1 accident investigations to a high standard and produce internal reports
• Undertakes internal inspections and audits of the standards of HSE on site and the work practices employed
• Undertakes site HSE inductions on an ongoing basis
• Assists in emergency response and Assists in the organisation of medical examinations (i.e. drug and alcohol testing, etc) of all staff on site
• Deputises for the Site HSE Manager and undertakes further roles as reasonably required
